PRIMARY FUNCTION.
To provide leadership in the organisation, management, monitoring and reporting of all site operations ensuring high
quality work is carried out in an efficient and safe manner to specification and within budget.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
➢ Manage, mentor and coordinate both site staff and sub-contractors on site
➢ Liase with site management to ensure that all project plans and schedules are delivered within set timelines by all the
employees and all sub-contractors.
➢ Manage the design team members to ensure best value, buildable solutions whilst managing program expectations
from planning stage to completion
➢ Manage quality and customer expectations ensuring all works comply with building regulations and other relevant
standards.
➢ Bi-weekly/Monthly reporting to senior company management and directors of projects including program, H&S, quality
and budget.
➢ Translate general work requirements into prioritised plans for the crew and sub-contractors.
➢ Engage with and liaise with all utility providers and warranty companies including but not limited to Homebond, Irish
Water, ESB.
➢ Manage all costs in association with Quantity Surveyors and Site Management team.
➢ Ensure strict compliance with drawings, specification, building regulations and good building practice
➢ Ensure all Health and Safety requirements are maintained and lead continuous improvement on sites
➢ Carry out all operations in line with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
➢ Manage project programmes and monitor progress on site
➢ Regularly assess progress to ensure adherence to and delivery by forecasted timelines.
➢ Experience in ground services preferable.
➢ Liaise with architects, consultants, clients, local authorities and suppliers and subcontractors regarding amendments
to contractual agreements.
➢ Practice workplace safety at all times.
➢ Ensure a presentable and well maintained site at all times.
QUALIFICATION/CERTIFICATION.
The candidate will hold and maintain all relevant and legally required certifications and authorisations associated with the
industry requirements for the job and the nature of the work to be undertaken.
The candidate will undertake all additional training from time to time whether required by statute or reasonably required by
the company.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
➢ Competence in the principles and techniques of construction site operations management.
➢ Excellent organising and delegating abilities.
➢ Ability to read and interpret maps, sketches, drawings, specifications and technical manuals.
➢ Knowledge of and competence in all aspects of Health & Safety legislation.
➢ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with all others encountered in the course of operations.
➢ Write up or assist in the write up of reports as reasonably required in relation to relevant operations.
