Skilled MIG Welder – Day Shift (Early Finish on Fridays!)
We are currently recruiting for a Skilled MIG Welder to join a well-established manufacturer of precision hydraulic cylinders. This is a permanent, full-time role on a day shift with an early finish every Friday!

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
- Weld to a high standard using a three-phase MIG welder to manufacture hydraulic cylinders.
- Tack and final weld mild steel components.
- Operate workshop machinery and hand power tools.
- Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure high standards.
- Work towards company efficiency targets and maintain production flow.
- Use the company’s MRP system effectively.
- Adhere to health and safety policies and maintain good housekeeping.
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum 5 years of welding experience (preferably MIG).
- Strong ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings.
- Experience welding to a high standard using a three-phase MIG welder.
- Skilled in tacking and final welding of steel components.
- Experience operating workshop machinery.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and meet production targets.
- Commitment to health and safety regulations in a workshop environment.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Welding qualification (NVQ or equivalent).
- Experience in a precision engineering or hydraulics setting.
- Fully coded welder certification from a recognized awarding body.
- Knowledge of welding automation processes (advantageous but not essential).
