Role Overview:
As a Social Media Marketing Assistant, you will play an integral role in the Digital Marketing Team, supporting the creation of engaging content and implementing strategies to amplify the organization’s online presence. Reporting to the Digital Marketing and Social Media Executive, you will work closely with an innovative team dedicated to delivering high-quality digital communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bring the organization’s social media strategy to life, ensuring alignment with brand values and audience engagement goals.
- Schedule and publish content across multiple social channels in line with the content calendar.
- Create captivating content, including short-form videos, graphics, and compelling captions.
- Collaborate with design and video agencies to produce high-quality visual assets.
- Research emerging social media trends to identify opportunities for growth and engagement.
- Leverage internal talent to produce authentic and relatable content.
- Organize and lead brainstorming sessions to develop creative video concepts for TikTok.
- Monitor social media conversations, responding to comments or threads as per brand guidelines.
- Support the execution of paid social media campaigns.
- Analyze social media performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Assist the wider digital marketing team with key projects and campaigns.
Required Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- A third-level qualification (minimum NFQ Level 6 or higher) in Digital Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or Journalism.
- At least two years of direct experience in social media management and content creation for platforms such as TikTok, Meta, and LinkedIn.
- Proficiency in smartphone video production and editing.
- Excellent communication skills with a keen eye for error-free content creation and editing.
- Well-developed IT skills, including experience with MS Office.
- Knowledge of social media KPIs and metrics, with a focus on data-driven improvement.
Desirable:
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Photoshop, or InDesign.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization for social media.
