The Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality care to service users with intellectual disabilities, ensuring compliance with HIQA regulations. This role involves providing clinical leadership, managing care delivery, and supporting the Services Manager in a person-centered respite service.
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with user preferences.
-Supervise and coach care staff, ensuring adherence to policies, safety standards, and quality care.
-Manage medication administration and maintain accurate records.
-Foster a safe, respectful, and enabling care environment while ensuring compliance with HIQA and clinical governance.
-Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and external agencies.
Qualifications & Skills:
-Registered with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), RNID preferred.
-Minimum 1 year experience in intellectual disability care.
-Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and IT skills.
-Ability to deliver person-centered care, manage teams, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
