The Technical Project Lead (TPL) will oversee specific process/utilities areas and engineering packages within the Apollo Project, ensuring alignment with project P&IDs and the Project Procurement Plan.
Main Duties:
- Represent the Project Engineering Team from the design phase through project handover, including technical support for procurement, construction, commissioning, and qualification phases.
- Serve as the liaison between stakeholders (Operations, EHS, Plant Engineering) and external partners (engineering contractors, vendors).
- Review and comment on all engineering documentation (e.g., P&IDs, lists, data sheets, specifications, drawings).
- Participate in 3D model reviews, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and specifications.
- Oversee the implementation of standards, focusing on mechanical, quality, and EHS aspects.
- Manage the project schedule and budget for assigned scope, coordinating timely delivery within budget.
- Review and approve technical purchase requests, purchase orders, change requests, and invoices.
- Ensure delivery of units with necessary certifications (e.g., Pressure Equipment Directive, Machinery Directive).
- Deliver vendor/contractor documentation in line with project deliverable lists and documentation storage requirements.
- Participate in safety risk analyses (HAZOP), overseeing mechanical mitigation actions.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and on-site SATs for assigned units, supporting high-quality delivery to the construction site.
- Review and approve commissioning and qualification documentation, supporting these activities through to Operations handover.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Pharmaceutical, Biochemical, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 4+ years in a technical project management role, with expertise in industrial engineering systems (e.g., equipment design, plant setup, process design, commissioning, and qualification).
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience in safety risk assessments and generating/updating User Requirement Specifications and Technical Specifications.
- Ability to perform line sizing calculations and manage P&IDs and process data sheets.
- Experience with project change management systems and documentation oversight.
- Language: Fluency in English required; German proficiency preferred.
