Warehouse Manager – Dublin North - €70K
A busy manufacturing site in Dublin is now hiring an experienced Warehouse Manager to transform and modernise a warehousing. You will be responsible for the Warehouse Team as well as a Transformation project to modernise and streamline the operation.
Reporting to the COO, the Warehouse Manager will oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient stock control, effective warehouse transformation projects, and lean manufacturing principles are implemented. The role involves managing staff, optimizing storage solutions, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while striving for continuous improvement in warehouse processes.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all warehouse activities including receiving, inventory control, order fulfilment, and dispatch.
Implement strategies to ensure efficient warehouse space utilization and maintain an orderly warehouse environment
Develop and enforce inventory management procedures to ensure stock accuracy and integrity.
Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations to maintain optimal stock levels.
Analyse inventory levels and trends to reduce excess stock and minimize stockouts
Setting up Kanban systems both in the warehouse and on the manufacturing floor, working closely with Procurement and Manufacturing team.
Driving a clean floor policy in manufacturing
Warehouse Transformation:
Lead initiatives aimed at transforming warehouse operations, focusing on automation and technology adoption to improve efficiency and space utilization.
Evaluate existing warehouse layouts and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions, using equipment and smart technologies
Lean Manufacturing Principles:
Apply lean methodologies to reduce waste, streamline processes, and enhance overall warehouse productivity.
Train and influence staff in lean principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Team Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, ensuring clear communication of goals and expectations.
Conduct performance evaluations and encourage professional development within the team.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure that all warehouse operations comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to maintain a safe working environment.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance metrics, inventory levels, and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
10+ years warehousing experience in a manufacturing environment, including management of a team
Experience in driving Lean principles and change management projects.
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team towards common goals.
