Meet the Speakers

Barry Winkless, Cpl’s Strategy & Innovation Director & Head of Future of Work Institute

Barry currently drives the strategic direction of Cpl in collaboration with the CEO and senior leadership team. He also leads Cpl’s future of work institute, which explores, questions and advises on key areas important to the future of working and the workplace for business leaders globally. Over the past 22 years of his career Barry has worked with, and for, some of the worlds most respected organisations across pharma, medtech, fmcg, financial,  technology, start up and professional services sectors. His core areas of expertise are strategy, innovation, change and engagement and he has led multi-disciplinary teams in delivering significant projects for clients. A frequent author and speaker at international events, Barry is committed to changing the views of what the future of work really means for today and what it could mean for tomorrow.

Thomas Strimbu, Immersive Technology Strategiest, Voxel Revolution

Thom is a digital media marketing expert with a passion for driving organizational growth and revenue with immersive technology. Thom has founded businesses including a prep-sports broadcast production company, TripTelevision, an online video marketing agency and Voxel REVOLUTION Consulting, to help clients understand, source, vet, and implement enterprise immersive technology solutions. Thom has a BS in International Business from Schiller International University and an MBA from UCD’s Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

Elysia Hegarty, Workplace Wellness Lead at the Cpl Future of Work Institute

With over 14 years’ experience in Human Resource Management and the Health and Wellness Industry Elysia has combined her expertise to partner with business leaders to develop bespoke solutions for a healthy and engaged workforce. She has worked within multiple sectors and is a lead consultant at the Future of Work Institute. She works with customers to build strategic wellness programmes that attract, engage, and retain talent.

Geoff McDonald, Business Consultant and Former Global VP of HR Unilever

During his 25 years at Unilever, Geoff lead ground-breaking work where the HR function has played a central role in transforming Unilever’s business model with purpose at its core. His experience allows him to provide very practical insights and speak on how to address the taboo associated with wellbeing (particularly mental health) within a large global multi-national organisations.

Chris Patten, Technologist, Disruptor, Positive Transformer

Chris started his career in Artificial intelligence research under Sir Nigel Shadbolt. Following stints working for product companies and consultancies, he was inventor of Sky’s award-winning AdSmart platform bringing TV advertising into the digital era. Currently he is leading Centrica’s guild movement, applying Eastern collaboration practices to Western management systems as part of Agile and Digital transformation. During this talk I will introduce the art and science of guildcraft, the overlooked essential ingredient in any large scale Agile or Digital transformation.

Nazma Qurban, Chief Revenue Officer, Cognism

Outside of her day-to-day responsibilities at Cognism, Nazma is a popular and influential figure in the B2B SaaS industry. She regularly gives presentations at international sales and SaaS conferences on topics that are close to her heart, such as developing go-to-market strategies that drive success, how to grow a tech company from startup to scaleup and how to build and manage a high-performing sales team. Nazma is also a frequent guest on sales podcasts and webinars. She has been recognised with several high-profile awards such as Top Women Leaders in SaaS by The SaaS Report, voted one of the Top 10 UK Sales Leaders in SaaS by Sales Confidence and is recognised as an Inspirational Woman in Tech by WeAreTechWomen. Nazma will be the MC for our event.
