AREA SALES MANAGER The
primary focus of the Area Sales Manager is to manage and increase the sales
of the business in their respective area through our network of
distributors. Presenting a consistent and professional image of the company
and the brand to existing and new customers. RESPONSIBILITIES: ·
Build
and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential
customers in the area. ·
Achieve
sales targets by creating business development plans focusing on expanding
the customer base and driving revenue growth. ·
Work
with, lead and inspire teams (self-employed, distribution, transport, NPD,
bakery) to ensure their success and continuously grow sales. ·
Resolve
any customer issues in a quick and efficient manner, driving continuous
improvement. ·
Report
on KPIs, sales data, market trends and customer preferences. Use this data
to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions and necessary
actions. ·
Collaborate
with the marketing team to design and implement effective promotional
campaigns. ·
Retain
and communicate extensive knowledge of competitors and their activities in
your territory. ·
Key
point of contact for operational relationships ·
Develop
strong relationships with all other Departments such as Production, Quality,
NPD, Administration and Marketing and use these platforms to facilitate strategies
to develop and grow. ·
New
Product Development and Existing product development ·
Strategic
Planning and success measures i.e. sales, market share, analysis and in
store profile ·
KPI
achievement ·
Identify
areas for continual cost improvement. REQUIREMENTS: ·
3
years + experience in a similar sales-based role within the food industry. ·
Demonstrate
success in driving business development. ·
Conflict
resolution acumen. ·
Strong
strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset. ·
Strong
organisational, planning, time management, project management, negotiation
and anticipatory skills. ·
Strong
numerical ability. ·
Proven
ability to lead and influence at all levels. ·
Full
