- On behalf of our Manufacturing Client, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Buyer for their plant in Limerick. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years buying experience and will play a key role in managing procurement activities to support our plant.
- Key Responsibilities:
- • Manage the procurement process for materials, equipment, and services required for various projects.
- • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure the best value and quality.
- • Monitor market trends and conduct cost analysis to identify potential savings.
- • Purchase goods and services consistent with internal customers stated requirements in conformance with both safety, engineering, energy and environmental codes and standards.
- • Collaborate with stakeholders to forecast procurement needs.
- • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
- • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- • Ensure the highest standard of ethics is employed in all business dealings with both Suppliers and Customers at all times in accordance with the commercial procedures.
- Requirements:
- • Degree in Purchasing / Business / Supply Chain Management or an equivalent professional qualification.
- • At least 5 years work experience in a busy engineering-oriented purchasing role with relevant experience in procurement of high value engineering goods and services.
- • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic fast-paced work environment.
- • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
