GL Accountant
Our client, a recent US multinational start-up in the high-tech manufacturing & technology sector, are now undergoing a period of significant expansion across their global client base & have engaged with us in Cpl to hire a General Ledger Accountant to join their Finance team.

The Job:
As a key part of the overall global finance team & reporting to the Senior Accountant based on-site, your duties will be focused on a broad mix of accounting & general ledger reporting duties for entities & manufacturing operations both in Ireland & across the world.
More specifically this will include taking ownership of the purchase orders & invoicing processes, stock/inventory reporting, maintaining significant fixed asset registers, controlling budgets & spending, resolving finance & compliance/audit queries, assisting on projects across the site (including capital spend projects), preparing month end & quarter end close, & working with the Senior Accountant on implementing their financial strategies.
Your Skills/Experience that we need:
- 3rd level degree qualified.
- Fully qualified accountant.
- 1-2+ years industry experience ideally gained in a multinational manufacturing or similar type of environment.
- Excellent IT skills including a high level of ability in all Microsoft applications.
- Experience/knowledge in using ERP systems (eg SAP, JDE, Oracle) would be an advantage.
- Proven ability to work on your own initiative.
The Offer:
This job is being offered on a permanent basis with salary, benefits & overall package flexible depending on candidate qualifications & career experience. Base salary is expected to range to approx. 60-70k & in addition there will be an excellent benefits package including pension & healthcare contributions, 10-15% annual bonus, educational assistances, equity options & other supports.
This role will be a hybrid mix of 3 days in office in Shannon with 2 days working from home/remote.
Candidates without the relevant visa/work permit to live & work in Ireland will not be considered.
