The team:
You will be joining the South East England General Medicines Team, The Regional Account Managers focus on Cardiovascular Disease & Bone Health . Your role will involve significant internal cross functional working to drive your business forward and meet your territory goals. In this role, you will take full accountability for Gen Med business portfolio across the South West London & Surrey area.
Job Description:
In this vital role as a Regional Account Manager, you will ensure optimal uptake and usage of our key Cardiovascular & Osteoperosis brands within the General Medicine portfolio. This will be through a combination of clinical demand generation and local access as well as formulary, pathway and funding activities. To be performed in-line with the Companies mission “To Serve Patients”.
You will own planning, organising and executing cross-functional activities. This is to ensure patient access to promoted brands, to meet regional and national aims & objectives. You will also be responsible for diagnosing requirements and assuming responsibility for evaluating, developing and commercialising external opportunities and minimising threats at a regional level in line with Brand strategy. This is a true account management role.
Responsibilities:
• Conducting analysis and assessment of accounts to ensure an understanding of issues, key brand advocates, stakeholders, health priorities, Commissioning, procurement activities, AHSNs, ICS’s and/or regional networks.
• Input into the prioritisation of customers to refine segmentation plans.
• Produce a plan of action to ensure achievement of account priorities and regional and national brand strategy.
• Involve key internal stakeholders in preparation of account plans to ensure alignment and prioritisation of activities.
• Support identification of opinion leaders and develop engagement plans.
• Ensure all activities agreed within the account plans are implemented to completion within time, cost, and compliance and quality constraints.
• Translate national plans to develop a regional plan of action.
• Develop metrics for success and track progress relative to targets.
• Market Access – Ensure an optimum environment for the prescribing of Company Med products both current and future.
• Maintain effective collaboration within own and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, progress updates and knowledge share.
• All role activities completed to meet team standard operating procedures and quality standards

Education/experience:
• Degree educated, ideally in a scientific discipline.
• A proven track record of consistently high performance in a hospital sales/payor environment, preferably with Cardiovascular and/or Bone Health experience.
• Experience in selling Biologic and/or High Cost Speciality medicines preferred.
• Strong relationships with the key budget partners and/or Local Clinical Opinion Leaders.
• Experience of securing formularies within the evolving NHS and developing/enhancing treatment pathways to ensure optimal patient flow and maximise prescribing opportunities.
