SALES MANAGER – FINANCE/MOTOR INDUSTRY
My client, a market leader in insurance and assistance products, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and grow the automotive retail division Ireland, overseeing a network of motor dealers distributing insurance products. The Sales manager will also be responsible for the management of a team of account managers, strategic oversight and relationship management of OEM’s, Finance Companies and Motor Dealerships.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership:
· Develop and implement sales strategies to grow market share and revenue in the automotive retail sector.
· Set and monitor sales targets for the dealer network and account management team.
· Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
Dealer Network Management:
· Support and manage a network of motor dealers to enhance sales performance.
· Provide training to dealers on insurance products for compliance and effective selling.
· Conduct regular visits to dealers to maintain strong relationships and address business needs.
Team Management:
· Lead a team of Field Sales Account Managers, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance reviews.
· Ensure team alignment, communication, and collaboration.
4. Relationship Management:
· Act as the primary liaison with partners, fostering collaboration and goal alignment.
· Develop tailored strategies to address partner needs and drive mutual success.
5. Training & Development:
· Design and deliver training programs for dealers, ensuring they are equipped to sell insurance products effectively.
Additional Duties:
· Undertake other responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating innovation and adaptability.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
· APA or CIP qualification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
· Proven sales leadership experience, ideally in the automotive or insurance sectors.
· Expertise in managing large portfolios and leading high-performing teams.
· Strong background in relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
· Experience delivering training programs is advantageous.
· Proficient in CRM systems, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Knowledge of automotive and insurance products is a strong advantage.
· Willingness to travel regularly.
· Valid driver’s license.
