We are seeking a Service Specialist (Azure and Identity) Specialist with expertise in Active Directory Access Management to join our Service Management Team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and identity management systems to meet business objectives and industry standards.
Reporting to the Services Lead Manager, you will work with a global production support team and partner vendors. You will provide expert advice on Azure and Identity Access Management policies, recommend best practices, and, when needed, implement step-by-step actions to achieve high operational standards.
This role requires deep familiarity with Azure's latest capabilities and the ability to guide WBA Technology Centre in building a high-performing, scalable environment that fully supports our product portfolio.
This is a hybrid position based in our Dublin 2 office.
Job Description
What you will do:
- Evaluate existing Azure and Active Directory infrastructures to identify areas for optimization and align with organizational goals and industry standards.
- Research and recommend best-in-class solutions for cloud infrastructure, identity management, and access control.
- Collaborate with senior team members to draft and present proposals for infrastructure enhancements.
- Use data and research to justify recommended changes and improvements.
- Implement Azure AD changes through a ticketing system and ensure full compliance with execution protocols.
- Occasionally execute critical Azure AD changes directly when required.
- Participate in internal audits of identity management and cloud operations, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Assist in compliance activities to meet governance standards.
- Utilize tools like ServiceNow and Power BI to identify inefficiencies, patterns, or security risks in current operations.
- Provide actionable insights to senior colleagues based on trend analysis.
- Document processes, evaluations, and recommendations comprehensively for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Work closely with engineering, security, and operations teams to validate findings and ensure successful implementation of recommendations.

- Advanced understanding of Azure services, Active Directory, identity management, and access control systems.
- 3–5 years of experience in technical analysis, service management, or governance roles within IT.
- Proven problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
- Advanced knowledge of: Azure services and identity management tools (e.g., Azure AD, ADFS, Azure AD Connect), IT service management tools like Remedy, ServiceNow, or similar platforms, reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel with Power Query), scripting and automation, particularly with PowerShell.
- Familiarity with governance, auditing, and compliance processes in cloud and identity management environments.
- A customer-first mindset, ensuring secure, reliable access for end-users.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
- Certifications (are preferred) such as:
- Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
- Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500).
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent.
…and be experienced with:
- Leading small initiatives or projects related to infrastructure optimization or service management tool rollouts.
- Governance and compliance processes, including audits and frameworks for hybrid cloud environments.
- Collaboration with stakeholders to influence data-driven decisions.
- Tools such as Netwrix Auditor or Azure Security Center.
