We are seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineering Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the QA Lead, this role will support the establishment, monitoring, and adherence to functional testing (Automation + Manual) standards and protocols for our software systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in functional testing, preferably within the Pharmacy Retail or healthcare software sectors, and will contribute to the development and implementation of testing policies, procedures, and best practices. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to help integrate functional testing requirements throughout the software development lifecycle and acting as a key liaison between testing teams and stakeholders. While not directly responsible for executing tests, the Senior Test Automation Analyst will provide guidance, assist in establishing protocols, and support process improvements to enhance the robustness and reliability of our software.
This is a hybrid position based in our Dublin 2 offices.
What you will do:
· Develop and maintain functional testing policies, procedures, and standards.
· Ensure all functional testing activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
· Help with the establishment and enforcement of frameworks that support continuous improvement in functional testing methodologies.
· Monitor and audit functional testing processes to ensure compliance and quality.
· Support the QA Lead in conducting regular reviews and audits of functional testing results and processes to identify areas for improvement.
· Ensure thorough documentation of all functional testing activities to facilitate transparency and accountability.
· Help develop long-term plans for functional testing, including the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
· Monitor and review functional automation testing (including regression) and provide suggestions to the QA Team for improving the automation test coverage.
· Collaborate with development, performance, and product management teams to ensure functional requirements are integrated throughout the SDLC.
· Act as a liaison between testing teams and key stakeholders, delivering regular updates on functional testing status, risks, and issues.
· Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure understanding and alignment on functional goals and priorities.
· Identify potential risks related to functionalities in software and support in the development of mitigation solutions.
· Proactively flag any issues and challenges related to functional testing to get resolutions promptly.
· Help with development and maintenance of risk register for functional testing, regularly updating and communicating risks to stakeholders.
· Monitor and help with defect management, severity analysis, and prioritization of issues to ensure timely resolution and quality control.
· Stay current with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in functional testing and software quality assurance.
· Advocate for and help implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of functional testing processes.
· Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to functional testing to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
· Use data and metrics for decision-making and prioritize functional testing activities.
· Ensure alignment with GDPR, HIPAA, or other applicable standards.

· A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on functional testing (especially automation).
· Proven expertise in developing and managing functional testing solutions.
· Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
· Experience with Java, SQL, or similar.
· ISTQB Certified Tester – Advanced Level is preferred.
· Experience in the Pharmacy Retail or healthcare software industry is desirable.

· Functional testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
· Automation testing tools like Selenium, QTP, or Appium.
· CI/CD tools and Agile methodologies.
· Test management tools such as ADO/JIRA or TestRail.
· Security testing practices and tools for compliance with industry standards.
