Area Agri Sales Manager – North Cork
Our client is looking for a sales candidate ideally coming from an agricultural background or has completed an agricultural degree to join their sales team.
You will be selling to the agricultural sector, managing existing relationships and growing the client base.
The role/the candidate:
- You will be a driven sales professional from an agricultural background or someone who has the personality and relationships to succeed in a sales role.
- A background in agriculture is essential in gaining product insights so that you can advise the agricultural community on suitable and new products across the different product lines.
- Part of successful sales is planning, so the ability to plan your days, weeks and months to ensure regular calls to clients and also ensuring the plan makes sense location and journey wise.
- You will be able to analyse and interpret sales data and ensure that budgets are being achieved, taking corrective action where required.
- Strategic, sales focused with a very customer centric approach.
- You will focus on growing current business and developing new clients and reinstating lost business.
- Logging calls and information on the CRM system to track sales and calls.
- Keep up to date on trends and market opportunities, regulations, milk supply, grain etc.
- Manage customer accounts to ensure compliance with credit agreements.
- You will have a health and safety mindset in all your activities and engagements.
- Build strong relationship with internal stakeholders who support the sales teams from marketing, inside sales, logistics etc.
Requirements:
- Have a B.Agr.Sc degree or similar qualification or Agricultural background
- Have demonstrated relevant experience in a similar role, sales/inside sales
- Require strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence others and a proven working relationship with people
- Have passion to apply key continuous improvement principles in a fast-moving sales environment.
- Strong business acumen, customer focus, commercially aware and good problem solver.
- Be numerate and IT literate, and be familiar with the following software packages e.g. Microsoft Office and CRM systems
