CEE a stable region for business
The second half of the last year has shown that companies organize their work in a new reality and began making up for losses from the previous months. Organizations learned how to work in a quickly changing work environment and thus reacted on an ongoing basis to the emerging, often unexpected, changes. Regardless of changing economic conditions most companies have found themselves perfectly in the work in hybrid model or the home office model. Over the past months the CEE region has proven itself as a place to continue or to relocate a business. For entrepreneurs who want to expand their companies but also for new investors, this is a clear signal that CEE is a safe place for their companies.
Candidates need a very good reason(s) to change jobs
The fast pace of business growth entails a great demand for employees. Although in 2022, it will not be easy to convince candidates to change jobs. It will be a candidate and their needs driven market, and the challenge for employers now will be how to deal with it. Companies that did not expect such a large acceleration in business, and thus the need for employees, will face a real challenge related to a change of direction. A year ago, most candidates were afraid of losing their jobs - today they will dictate the conditions on the labour market. Employers focused on candidate attraction will win in the race for the best talents in the market. Listening to the candidates and their needs and implementing these changes in the organization will be the key to winning the hearts of new employees and retaining those who are already in the company.
A new employee need appeared on the horizon – the protection of people’s health which is still the number 1 issue. Employee’s priorities have made a major shift towards well- being, flexible working setup and general work-life balance. No longer are people interested in job offers that would put them under everyday stress. Salary increases in the region seem inevitable here or, in fact, across all functions and sectors. It is additionally affected by rising inflation and the general increase in the prices of goods and services. The employer's competitive offer and a fast and effective recruitment process are some of the elements of a successful recruitment. In 2022, speed of decision-making will still play a significant role.
In 2022 the candidate experience and HR support will get more important than ever. A structured HR processes and extensive communication will play the key role in the company. Although we mostly work remotely, human factor should play the main role because it is the most important ingredient of any company's success.
