Senior CAPEX Lead – Infrastructure Projects

The Role: As a Senior CAPEX Lead, you will be responsible for delivering high-value infrastructure projects ranging from 1M to 50M CHF. You will take ownership of the full project lifecycle—from design to execution and handover—while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives. This is a senior-level position that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead CAPEX investment projects within shared infrastructure, ensuring safety, cost-effectiveness, quality, and adherence to schedules.
- Develop and execute project charters, defining scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management.
- Implement and maintain risk, cost, and schedule control systems to ensure project success.
- Conduct regular project reviews, taking proactive measures to address deviations from objectives.
- Define and deploy project resources, providing strong leadership to a cross-functional team.
- Oversee implementation of state-of-the-art engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with industry safety and environmental standards.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing across teams to optimize best practices in engineering and project management.
- Ensure seamless project handover, including documentation and training for operational teams.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Plant Engineering, or similar field).
- Experience: 5-10 years in engineering, with a strong background in CAPEX projects within infrastructure (energy, wastewater, etc.).
- Project Leadership: Demonstrated success managing large-scale investment projects in an international setting.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of infrastructure project engineering, ideally within chemical or pharmaceutical industries.
- HSE & Compliance: Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Communication & Influence: Ability to engage and motivate cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
- Problem Solving: Agile approach to handling shifting priorities, risks, and project demands.
- Languages: Fluent in German and English (must-have).
