Legal Associate
Cpl in partnership with the SK pharmteco Small Molecule, Europe, facility located in Swords,are looking for a Legal Associate who provides general legal advice to the Swords Site which takes into account the needs of the business whilst balancing risk in proportionate manner which is aligned with relevant laws and regulations and internal policies.
Scope and Scale
· To provide proactive assistance to the business with general legal queries and contractual matters
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Legal Advice: Provide timely and accurate legal advice to internal stakeholders on various matters such as compliance, commercial agreements, and risk management.
- Corporate Governance: Assist with corporate governance matters, ensuring compliance with company law, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with departments like procurement, finance, HR, quality assurance to ensure seamless legal support across the business.
- Contract Drafting & Review: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to manufacturing, product supply and distribution.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all legal activities comply with relevant laws, including Irish, EU, and international regulations governing the pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors.
- Keep up to-date with and raise awareness of legal developments pertinent to the business and provide appropriate training, regarding the same.
Essential Skills & Knowledge
- A University Degree
- Qualified solicitor, legal practitioner (preferably in Ireland)
- Contract Law Expertise: Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, such as manufacturing, supply, and distribution agreements.
- Knowledge of English at fluent level, both written & spoken
Desirable Skills & Knowledge
- Circa 5 Years post qualification work experience
- Experience in a CMO or Pharma Environment: Familiarity with the dynamics of working in a CMO or similar contract-based manufacturing environment.
- International Exposure: Experience working with multinational companies, or dealing with cross-border legal matters, particularly in the EU and US.
- Experience in the Life Sciences/Pharma Sector: Knowledge of the regulatory frameworks governing the pharmaceutical industry , particularly GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA regulations, is highly desirable.
- Supply Chain & Manufacturing Agreements: Understanding of contract terms related to the manufacture and supply of goods, quality assurance, timelines, penalties, and intellectual property considerations.
- Experience in Corporate/Commercial Law: Strong background in commercial contracts, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance, particularly in relation to manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences, is beneficial
