PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We are seeking to hire a payroll administrator to work on our payroll team, which sits in People Operations, a shared services department. The payroll team consists of 5 members, reporting into the payroll team leader. The key responsibility is to process our in-house high volume payrolls accurately and on time. These payrolls cover both ROI and UK jurisdictions and are on a weekly or monthly basis. The role includes administrative tasks such as system inputs, issuing payroll documentation and completing forms. We also deal with customer queries in relation to payroll deductions and taxes. Reporting to the Payroll team leader, the Payroll administrator will be responsible for ensuring that they deliver these payroll services under their remit within our service level agreements and in a professional and efficient manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Successful payment and posting of weekly and monthly payrolls for ROI and UK Staff and Pensioners while adhering to our payroll processes, procedures & IFC controls with minimal supervision
• Administrative tasks such as system inputs, issuing payroll documents, form completion and issuing of UK P60/P45s.
• Daily management of own workload and incoming queries within Service level agreements
• Completing system inputs & letters daily
• Analysing and responding to customer queries within strict deadlines
• Produce Ad hoc calculations for query resolution
• Provide cover & support to your team members during payroll calculate
• Maintaining and developing strong relationships with our customers, vendors and colleagues
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of our current processes through automation and streamlining
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERTISE
• Meticulous attention to detail in inputting and preparing letters
• Sense of responsibility and commitment to the role
• High level of analytical and mathematical acumen
• Excellent computer skills, including a high level of proficiency in Excel
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work on your own initiative and see tasks through to completion
• Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
• Ability to work and integrate with the team
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• IPASS Certified Payroll Technician or a commitment to commence studies
• Knowledge & experience of in-house payroll processing
• Knowledge of SAP payroll system
• Detailed knowledge of ROI & UK Payroll Tax system in relation to PAYE, USC, PRSI,NIC & BIK
• Familiarity with Revenue on Line Services & HMRC Government Gateway
• Experience in submitting Revenue monthly & annual returns
