Plant, Equipment & Vehicle Fleet Manager

We have a role for an experienced Plant, Equipment & Vehicle Fleet Manager, who would be based in yard in Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath.

Please note we have a very large Plant, Equipment & Vehicle Fleet Hire Division in the UK, that we Hire Plant from for the Irish Division. This role would be the equivalent of our Plant Manager who oversees that Division in the UK, albeit managing much less stock, servicing less sites and we don’t have a Hire arm in Ireland.

Experience in key tasks as follows:

·      Strong emphasis on managerial experience including the financial aspect of same.

·      Must be very IT literate.

·      Hands on mechanical experience a strong advantage, however, this is a managerial role.

·      Set up and manage all fuel cards, taxes, insurances, NCTs, licenses, Plant tickets, toll tags, city & council parking agreements etc

·      Maintain all Plant, Equipment & Vehicles, whether on hire or company owned by our UK Plant Hire Division

·      Market enquiries regarding maintenance & servicing of all Plant, Equipment & Vehicles to obtain most competitive strategy for same

·      Agree rates, scope, freelance fitter/mechanic contracts, maintenance & service contracts, purchase hire contracts etc

·      Oversee plant budget and implement cost-saving initiatives

·      Adhere to company and regulatory H & S directives regarding Plant, Equipment & Vehicles

·      Ensure health, safety and compliance standards and procedures are embedded within the yard and all maintenance and transport activities

·      Place Plant, Equipment & Vehicle Hire Orders (On Hire/Off Hire)

·      Manage all haulage and transport associated with Plant, Equipment & Vehicles movements between Yard, Sites and UK Plant Hire Division

·      Interface with company Accounts

Ø Supplier set up

Ø Raise Pos

Ø Invoice Management – verify all supplier invoices against works procured regarding Plant, Equipment & Vehicles

Ø Interface with Coins/Easybuild (Accounting Software)

Ø Delivery Docket Reconciliations to Orders Placed

Ø Records management

·      Interface with Site to meet their requirements, arrange transport, book deliveries

·      Interface with our UK Plant Hire Division

·      Ensure a high standard of housekeeping in the yard and workshops.
