Our client is a long-standing well established Food Production Facility in Dublin 12. Due to continued business growth, they have a requirement to hire a Quality Assurance Officer to join their production team in West Dublin.

Role
• Maintenance and continuous improvement of the Food Safety & Quality Management Systems
• Responsible for maintaining food safety and quality standards during production shift
• Ensuring production documentation is completed accurately and filed in quality office
• Ensuring all daily checks and scoring is carried out as required (GMP, weights, dates, temperatures, CCP/OPRPs, process control, in-process quality checks, traceability, hygiene, product changeover and pack control etc.)
• Conduct hygiene audits, structural audits, internal and glass audits as per schedule
• Ongoing monitoring of picking, loading and associated activities i.e. transportation storage and hygiene
• Monitoring of external site standards inc. waste storage
• Raw material conformity inspections
• Quality inspections of bought-in goods
• Monitoring and execution of the non-conforming product procedure
• Finish product quality standards (height, bake, weight, slicing, wrapping, dating and final presentation)
• Raw material and finished product analysis (NIR, Texture Analyser & C-Cell)
• Assess product samples, record findings and report as appropriate
• Highlight and measure gap analysis in processes to ensure compliance to food safety and food quality standards
• Document control and updates
• Training – identify training needs and carry out on the job training with operators
• Monitoring of site security and associated food defence controls
• Generate shift handover report
Requirements
• QA experience in food manufacturing environment
• Training in food hygiene, HACCP and internal auditing
• Ability to drive quality and food safety standards in a high paced food manufacturing environment
• Candidate must possess strong attention to detail and assertiveness to drive standards with a ‘can-do’ attitude
• Knowledge of EHO, DoA, Weights & Measures, FSSC 22000, BRC & RSPO requirements
• Knowledge of labelling and food legislation
• Able to build effective working relationships inside and outside the Company at various levels and accommodate working styles.
• Strong organisational, planning, time management, project management, problem-solving, and anticipatory skills
• The capacity to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and be flexible.
• The ability to work on own initiative and as part of an interdependent team.
• Proven track record of delivering work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
