About the Role
Our pharmaceutical client in Cashel, Co. Tipperary is hiring a QC Laboratory Manager – Chemistry. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving the lab team forward, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic site expansion. You’ll manage all aspects of the QC Chemistry lab, lead method transfers, and develop next-generation talent.

Senior Quality Director / Qualified Person
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the QC Chemistry team, with a strong focus on people leadership and development.
- Oversee lab design, setup, and capability expansion.
- Manage method and specification change controls.
- Coordinate technical investigations and method transfers.
- Manage contract laboratory relationships and testing activities.
- Represent the QC lab during regulatory audits and liaise with internal regulatory teams.
- Support strategic inhalation lab expansion in collaboration with global partners.
- Identify areas for process improvement and resource efficiency.
- Develop KPIs and track lab performance throughout the year.
- Play a key role in succession planning and talent development within the QC function.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a pharmaceutical QC laboratory.
- At least 3 years in a leadership/managerial role.
- Proven track record in team leadership and performance management.
- Strong communication skills, including experience delivering training and presentations.
- Familiarity with GMP, regulatory requirements, and audit readiness.
- Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
