My client is a leading manufacturer of concrete products in the UK and Ireland. They specialise in the manufacture of pre-stressed and precast concrete products, including concrete storage tanks, bridge beams, culverts, retaining walls, A-frame buildings, tunnel segments and a range of domestic concrete products for wastewater treatment and rainwater harvesting.
Due to our continuing growth, we are recruiting a Quality Management Systems Engineer at their production facility and the successful person will have a background or education in QA/Regulatory/Administration.
Work Activities & Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities set out below will form an integral part of the role of the Management System Engineer position. It will be based in the QA department in Midlands and will form an essential part and support of the Quality Control and H & S Teams. This is a full time Monday to Friday office position.
You will be initially responsible for completion of tasks as outlined below:
• Ensure that the Integrated Management System (IMS) is managed, developed and implemented appropriate to the activities of the company and all relevant requirements.
• Liaise with all departments to ensure documentation in use complies with customer requirements, regulatory, and external standards and is always ‘audit ready’.
• Develop, implement and coordinate the completion of internal audits as per schedule. Participate in the Group internal audit program and undertake audit training where required.
• Maintain and aid with the NCR process, ensure that appropriate corrective actions are identified and implemented, and investigations are closed in a timely manner. Review the effectiveness of any corrective actions identified.
• Liaise with external auditors to schedule audits and monitor the completion of corrective actions in a timely manner to ensure certification is maintained.
• Maintain certification records on the external verification platforms to ensure compliance is maintained.
• Develop, implement and update IMS policies, procedures and templates and circulate as required. Co-ordinate document control activities on all documentation.
• Ensure that any changes to system requirements are implemented competently, in a timely manner and that all affected parties are made aware of any changes.
• Monitor and maintain the calibration and testing matrix, liaise with relevant department to ensure compliance is maintained.
• Develop, maintain and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the work area.
• Serve as a resource for internal stakeholders seeking guidance on document-related matters.
• Review documents completed by other departments and update /correct where necessary.
• Actively participate in and implement continuous improvement projects related to the IMS.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to document management in the relevant portals.

Qualifications/Experience/Education:
· A recognised 3rd level qualification in an engineering or construction discipline or similar. A minimum of 3 years ‘experience in a similar role and proficient in all MS Office applications and excellent organization and IT skills.
