Global Investment/ Financial Servies organisation is looking for an Quantum Researcher to join their quantum and future computing team to perform research into emerging quantum technologies and building proofs of concept that demonstrate how these technologies can solve use cases from across the firm.
Skillset required:
- PhD in computer science, engineering, physics, or a related technical field, or master’s degree with 3+ years’ experience leading research projects
- Experience researching and working with quantum algorithms or quantum machine learning
- Familiarity with quantum computing libraries such as Qiskit, Pennylane, Braket, or Cirq
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and data science libraries like NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn, and hands-on experience with traditional machine learning methods
- Experience with HPC/Parallel computing or mathematical programming a plus
- Solid experience in Agile methodologies

Purpose of the role
As a member of Future Computing Incubator, you will work with the team to design and build proof of concept experiments that
- demonstrate how quantum computing can be used to solve a wide variety of business use cases
- provide insight into the quantum timeline that can be translated into suggestions and roadmaps for the entire Fidelity organization
- help other teams access new systems and solutions for further testing and development
- leverage your expertise to ensure teams across Fidelity are using best-in-class computational tools today and in the future
