Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

Our client, a leader in the Logistics Sector, has an urgent requirement for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their team! Excellent opportunity for the right candidate.

Role Overview:

Responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the Company and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting, while maintaining and improving the financial health of the organisation through effective management of accounting processes, adherence to financial regulations, and providing valuable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and oversee the timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes for the company to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, internal policies and that all returns are submitted accurately and on time.
• Knowledge with financial systems and ERP.
• Improve reporting from the ERP and create ad-hoc reports including financial performance.
• Managing the purchases, sales, and nominal ledgers.
• Preparation of monthly payroll.
• Managing the accounts team and work closely with senior management to develop the business.
• Ensure full CSO and CRO compliance.

Qualifications and Experience required for this role:

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with several years of experience desirable.
• Strong proficiency in financial accounting principles and practices, financial reporting, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Commercial Industry experience.
