Senior Network Solution Architect Day rate contractor with expertise in cloud networking for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will also have a deep knowledge of physical data center networks, Software Defined Networking (SDN), Software Defined Wide Area Networks (SDWAN) and wireless solutions. This role requires a combination of strong technical and communication skills to design, implement, and support complex network solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Author architecture artefacts including ROM (Rough order of Magnitude) , HLD (High Level Design) & BRD (Business Requirement Document) for programs, projects and initiatives.
• Own the solution end to end, incorporating input from Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, business partners, SME’s and vendors.
• Highlight areas of solution risk and dependency, with associated mitigation proposals.
• Oversee all technical aspects of implementations for end-to-end integrated systems.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the organization's technologies and architectures.
• Develop logical, conceptual and physical architectural models.
• Communicate solutions, architectural decisions, plans, and goals to project teams.
• Support business and IT strategic planning.
• Support Enterprise Architecture Governance processes.
• Review new and existing program/project architecture for compliance with IT standards, policies and architectural plans.
• Develop and implement physical data center, office and manufacturing network designs, with a focus on redundancy, high availability, and fault tolerance.
• Architect and design network solutions for cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
• Provide support, including technical consultations, solution recommendations, and network assessments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, implementation plans, and best practices.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge and competitive.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in network design, implementation, and support.
• Expertise in cloud networking for AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Deep knowledge of physical data centre networks and best practices.
• Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN) and VMware Velo Cloud solutions.
• Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) and Cisco ISE.
• Strong understanding of network protocols; routing, switching and wireless.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust and SASE frameworks.
• Familiarity with network security principles, tools, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Industry certifications such as CCIE, VCDX-NV, or equivalent are preferred
