Cpl Recruitment are recruiting for a Solutions Architect to join our clients innovative team. In this role, you will work with other teams to design and implement cutting-edge technology solutions that deliver on the business objectives. You’ll play a key role in supporting digital transformation projects, ensuring that data and digital capabilities are embedded in core services and products. This is initially a 2 year contract but has the potential to go permanent.
Candidates must be based in Ireland and live within a commutable distance to Dublin. Minimum stamp 4 visa.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert insight and design solutions aligned with architectural standards and business needs.
- Collaborate with product owners and key stakeholders to transform business and technical requirements into robust solution architectures.
- Support lifecycle decisions for products and systems, evaluating whether to maintain, refresh, or retire services.
- Analyze the IT environment to identify technical debt, emerging trends, and opportunities for modernization.
- Design architecture for specific business applications and technologies in line with enterprise architecture guidelines.
- Partner with program management to ensure that technology delivery aligns with organizational promises and project goals.
- Produce deliverables such as standards, reference models, and design patterns to support governance and successful implementation.
- Provide in-project support to technical teams across areas such as development, security, testing, DevOps, and cloud operations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR) throughout the project lifecycle.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of three years' experience as a Solutions Architect.
- Strong design experience across infrastructure, applications, security, and databases, including experience with integration platforms.
- Expertise in public and hybrid cloud solutions, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with visual modeling tools such as Visio and Draw.io, and familiarity with UML diagramming.
- Knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies, with experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft technologies, including .NET, Azure, SQL, DevOps, and related infrastructure.
- Experience with Oracle Database and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is a plus.
